On May 9, 2024, with the bull Spes non confundit(“Hope Does Not Disappoint”), Pope Francis proclaimed the Ordinary Jubilee of 2025 and issued general guidelines for its celebration. The Jubilee began at the level of the entire Church on December 24, 2024, with the liturgical ceremony of opening the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, and will conclude with the closing of the Holy Doors in the same basilica on January 6, 2026, the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord.

By decree of our Eparch, Bishop Bryan (Bayda), the Jubilee indulgence shrine for 2025 has been designated as the Cathedral of St. Josaphat. On this occasion, on December 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, the Most Reverend Bishop Bryan Bayda, along with thе Clergy of the Eparchy, will celebrate a Divine Liturgy with the Rite of Opening of the Jubilee Year at St.Josaphat’s Cathedral located at 110 Franklin Ave., Toronto, M6P 3Y8.
